Well this is awkward. hmm. should i write this in third person as though someone is describing me? that’s weird right? i think I’ll just tell you about myself, first person.
Hi, hello. My name is Bri, I am a professional vocalist, I’ve been on stage since I was 4 years old and I plan to keep it like that. I’m also an RN. I have spent most of my nursing career (thus far) in a pediatric icu, currently i work in surgery. over the past few years i have discovered my love for coaching and teaching people how to be comfortable and confident on stage. i have been a regular vocal coach for the american idol style singing competition “futurestars”, a coach to the campers of girls rock detroit, a lead vocalist and mc for the bluewater kings band for the last 10 years, and teaching voice and performance out of my home for the last 3. i’ve logged many an hour in the studio (shameless plug have you checked out my ep “covers at the roost”?) but my heart is in live performance. i feel like i’m equal parts hippie and scientist, housewife-mama and rockstar, icu nurse and vocal coach. with my 2 careers i have been afforded the experience of sharing both people’s best and worst moments alongside them. i am passionate about getting acquainted with and practicing the full range of human experience, relating to and connecting with others as i do.
